RF Meters is a spin-ff from a larger company where we have 20+ years experience in industrial wireless communications.
The solution is based on IEEE 802.15.4g open standard, promoted by Wi-SUN (https://wi-sun.org/) alliance. It uses free sub-GHz band for the best compromise: upto 2km range and upto 200kbps bandwidth. The communication protocol uses MESH type network to increase the covered area. Demands like software upgrade over-the-air and readings at every 15 minutes are achieved.
All the components, hardware (module and gateway) and software are developed by RF Meters.
The solution can be applied to any type of digital meter from any manufacturer for electric energy, water, gas or thermic. Solar and battery charging in development.
The solution is cost efficient, has a high reliability, can be applied as a retro-fit for existing meters and does not involve third party costs.
